We’re looking for a Functional Test Engineer to join a world-leading Cambridge telecoms company. You’ll be part of a Scrum team, responsible for functional testing of complex embedded systems, ensuring features meet expected behaviour, reliability, and quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and execute functional test cases across devices, software, and APIs
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and issues
- Analyse logs and debug outputs to support defect investigation
- Develop automated tests (Python/C#) to improve sprint efficiency
- Validate fixes and assess regression risks
- Collaborate closely with developers and Product Owners
- Contribute to test strategy and Agile ceremonies
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in functional testing within Agile/Scrum teams
- Experience working with embedded systems or on physical hardware
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Robot Framework)
- Solid debugging skills and defect reporting
- Familiarity with tools like Jira/Azure DevOps and Git
