Founding AI Engineer – Hybrid/Remote (UK/EU ideal, US considered)

I’m working with an early-stage startup in the preventative health space that’s looking for its first dedicated AI engineer. This is a rare chance to join as a founding technical hire and shape the core intelligence behind a product designed to improve long-term health outcomes.

The Role

You’ll lead the design and build of the platform’s AI and data systems — from risk modelling to personalised recommendations — while also contributing across the app and backend. Expect a mix of hands-on engineering, rapid prototyping, and influencing early technical decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building the engine that turns user and biomarker data into meaningful insights.
• Working across the stack to improve the product experience (TypeScript/React-focused environment).
• Setting up evaluation frameworks, testing, and compliance-ready workflows.
• Establishing early AI standards and best practices.
• Helping shape the future team as the company scales.
