A leading scale up in Cambridge are looking for Test Lead Engineer to join their team.

Hands-On Responsibilities

• Perform functional and exploratory testing within an Agile development team.
• Review and clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Create and execute test cases during each iteration.
• Investigate issues, analyse logs, and work with engineers to resolve defects.
• Contribute to test automation and provide inputs to CI pipelines.
• Report test results, risks, and progress to the team.
• Testing on Embedded Products

Leadership Responsibilities

• Mentor and support testers across multiple teams.
• Define and maintain testing standards and practices.
• Coordinate testing activities and resource allocation.
• Align testing efforts with product priorities and release plans.
• Communicate risks and quality updates to stakeholders.
• Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and early defect prevention.
• Review and improve test artefacts and identify training needs.
• Act as a quality gate before broader testing phases.
