  • Able to obtain accurate patient w eight using rolling sling bed scale, wheel chair scale, bed scale and/or standup scale on as needed basis.
  • Demonstrates safe and proper transfer techniques and body mechanics when working with patients such as when turning or ambulating patient.
  • Correctly administers dysphagia techniques during meal time with patients that have swallowing problems on a daily basis.
  • Able to demonstrate the proper use of equipment as directed by the nurse or therapist according to hospital policy and procedure (IVAC, B/P machine, CPM, etc.) used on a daily basis.
  • Cleans and stores equipment properly such as rolling bed scale, wheel chairs, bedside commodes, etc. Cleans and keeps work areas and patient rooms neat and tidy on a daily basis.
  • Updates the patients’ bulletin boards in their rooms as needed on a daily basis.

Checks the patient food trays for accuracy of diets and distributes as directed by nurse on a daily basis.

We have an opening for a home health aide to join our growing team.

You will be tasked with helping patients with personal hygiene, minor medical needs, housekeeping, and other daily needs as required by the patient.

To excel in this role you should have an interest in health care and the ability to work with limited supervision keeping the patient’s needs as your top priority.

The Home Health Aide is responsible for providing patients with in-home personal care aide and designated health related aide services to maintain the patient’s physical and emotional well being, while following the written plan of care, Medicare/Medicaid regulations and agency policies and procedures.

Formal Education : High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience : Less than 6 months

License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement : Yes
