The opportunity As part of EY Consulting\’s Insurance Technology practice, you\’ll work on engagements involving Insurance Core Platform implementations, leveraging emerging technologies within insurance, and technology-enabled business transformations. Our focus on EMEIA means our team spans several European countries, with ongoing growth of about 30% annually. We seek enthusiastic individuals with an agile mindset, problem-solving skills, and industry knowledge in Insurance and/or Technology Consulting to enhance our capabilities and growth. Locations: London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester Responsibilities Collaborate with clients to establish a vision for their IT systems, processes, and infrastructure using leading practices. Create IT strategies and architecture roadmaps, including transition stages. Understand the full architecture stack: network, data, application, system, security, and integration. Develop artefacts to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences. Define and document key design decisions. Coordinate with business and technical teams during solution design and delivery. Provide technical expertise in software evaluation, standards, and configurations. Lead practice and people development activities. Build and lead high-performing teams. Support architecture governance according to industry standards and client policies. Skills and attributes Minimum 8 years\’ experience as an Architect. Over 10 years\’ experience in Financial Services Technology. Knowledge of ERD/UML and process diagram notations. Experience with enterprise integration patterns. Ability to articulate technical solutions and build relationships. Experience with insurance types: General, Specialty, and Life. Strong technical background with experience in technology packages like Guidewire, Fadata, Duckcreek, Pega. Expertise in technology architecture including enterprise, solution, infrastructure, security, and data. Experience in large-scale program delivery (agile and waterfall). Knowledge of cloud solutions, AI, microservices, and emerging tech. Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
