For temporary employment of 12 months, Rocket Factory Augsburg AG in Rocket Factory Ltd. is looking for an exceptionally motivated Launch Site Buyer (f/m/d) to join our UK team. This is a rare opportunity to be involved at a critical point for the European launch segment. As Buyer in the UK, you will play the important role of making sure the launch site remains continuously supplied with all material required to maintain the rapid speed of build and operation. This role will require you to be primarily based at the launch site on the isle of Unst in the Shetland Islands.
Your Tasks:
- Execute day-to-day purchasing of raw material and consumables for the launch site, with a focus on lead time and cost.
- Coordinate delivery of material to and from the launch site, ensuring a well-managed and documented schedule.
- Travel to local suppliers in order to pick up and deliver purchases when required.
- Work with site technicians to monitor site stock levels and set purchase points.
- Assist with the coordination of the movement of staff to and from the launch site.
- Review supplier deliverables and invoices and coordinate with Finance for closure of the procure to pay process.
- Maintain accurate control and management of your procurement activities in the ERP system; providing full transparency across all business functions.
- Assist in the tracking of contractor usage on site.
Your Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement, stock management and delivery management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to define process improvements and lead their implementation.
- Ability to pro-actively identify organizational problems and tackle them.
- Excellent communication, strong lateral thinking skills, high social intelligence, and the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work outside of background experience.
- Experience in financial planning is a benefit.
