Rocket Factory Augsburg AG is looking for a full-time Launch Site Administrator and Business Support Officer to join our UK team. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks to support the build and operation of our UK launch site, primarily arranging the travel and accommodation of staff, contractors, and visitors to the launch site, and supporting procurement and resource management. This is a unique opportunity to work at an active launch site, gain insight into real launch operations, and collaborate with a motivated, international, and interdisciplinary team in a professional and structured environment. This role will require you to be based either through rotations or relocation at the launch site on the isle of Unst in the Shetland Islands.
Your Tasks
- Support day-to-day business operations and general administrative tasks at the launch site
- Coordinate travel and accommodation for RFA staff, contractors, and external visitors travelling to and from the launch site (flights, on-island transport, hotels, on-site accommodation)
- Coordinate the onboarding and induction of staff and visitors at the launch site
- Act as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, suppliers, and delivery partners
- Support procurement and incoming goods activities, including liaison with local suppliers and service providers
- Manage office organisation, material ordering, inventory, post, and general correspondence
- Process and maintain personal data, employee records, and qualifications in compliance with UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act
- Assist in organising staff trainings, managing contracts, and legal documentation
- Support process documentation and improvement to streamline administrative and operational workflows
- Coordinate communication with internal departments, customers, and external stakeholders
Your Qualifications
- Experience in administration, office management, and business support
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Strong communication skills in English are essential; German language skills are a plus
- Confidence in coordinating travel, logistics, and documentation
- Experience handling confidential or personal data
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently in an on-site environment
- Knowledge of local businesses in the Shetland Islands is an advantage
