We are recruiting a HSEQ Officer / Managerinto a permanent position based in Newry.

Where you will take Ownership of the HSEQ Function, therefore playing a key role within the team & report directly to the Managing Director.

Key

Responsibility: Ownership & maintenance of our ISO Integrated Management System.

Ensure Projects meet the requirements of the Safety, Quality and Environment Management systems Development, delivery and maintain effective and proactive strategies for managing HSEQ risks & improving performance.

Delivery of Pre-start Construction Plans Support the site teams with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Inductions, Toolbox Talks, etc.

All to promote learning & prevention.

To identify & support the development and delivery of internal/external training to operational teams Support Management and project teams on a broad range of HSEQ issues, helping them to embed policy and process where appropriate.

Conduct investigations & report, providing technical advice to operational teams in the investigation and resolution of any accidents/incidents.

Carry out site-based audits/reports and ensure safety alerts are delivered.

Being visible as HSEQ Officer / Manager on site to ensure full team engagement with Health & Safety.

Reporting on KPIs and HSEQ statistics, identifying trends and advising on action to resolve Provide intelligence to the business on existing / emerging HSEQ legal requirements and sector specific standards Support environmental responsibilities to drive compliance & continuous improvement, including Vehicle Tracking & Driver behaviour.

Monitor our subcontractors and identify key improvement areas & ensure they have appropriate insurance.

Engage with companys Insurer on all Insurance Policy matters What youll Need (Experience): NEBOSH Qualified or equivalent qualifications/experience.

At least 3 years experience within a Health & Safety role Sound working knowledge of HSEQ law, and relevant sector specific HSEQ standards in construction.
