O'Hanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd is looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Newry.
The Role
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis, and repair of:
- Fleet vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes
- On-site plant and equipment
- Routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs
- MOT preparation to ensure vehicles meet all required safety and roadworthiness standards
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with current Health & Safety legislation and DVA standards, maintaining vehicles and equipment to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and roadworthiness.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working on commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonne
- Mechanical qualification or relevant industry experience
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Full driving licence (HGV licence an advantage but not essential)
