The Team at OHanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd have promoted the company as one of Northern Ireland's long established Building Contractors with nearly 40 years of valuable experience within numerous sectors, including the Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Construction sectors, throughout Ireland and the UK. We are recruiting an experienced Finishing Foreman / Site Manager for a permanent position based on a live site in Co. Louth for immediate start, where you will take ownership & be responsible for the following key items:
- Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all operatives working safely on site & adherence to HSA rules & regulations.
- Working closely alongside the Project Manager to adhere to the construction programme including the effective sequencing of the various trades on site to maximize quality and minimize reworking, while monitoring resources, labour, and plant.
- Liaising with clients/purchasers and reporting on daily progress, professional staff (such as Design Team Members, Key Project Staff & Utility Providers).
- Supervising on-site contracted staff & daily management of sub-contractors & labour staff.
- Making daily safety inspections are completed & ensuring construction and site safety is always adhered to.
- Preparing site reports for reporting back progress to Project Manager & ensuring that all works are being completed on time, cost & quality basis.
- Monitoring the progress of work to meet weekly & monthly deadlines.
- Ensuring work processes meet ROI building regulations.
- Liaising with Design Team members for accurate collation of BCAR handover & compliance documentation in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in the delivery and handover of residential housing schemes.
- Proficient in the collation of QA checks on-site from sub-structure to superstructure & internal fit-out packages.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have 5+ years site management experience, preferably trade based.
- Strong knowledge of timberframe residential schemes and fitout.
- First Aid trained.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Self-motivated and dedicated to meet weekly and monthly targets.
- Analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficient / IT literate.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
- Ability to liaise and deal with purchasers and closing process on new homes.
- Valid driving license.
