Your New Team & Role: The Team at OHanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd have promoted the company to one of Northern Irelands long established Electrical Contractors with over 40 years of valuable experience within numerous sectors, including the Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Construction sectors, throughout Ireland & UK. Due to increased business and strategic focus, OHanlon & Farrell is seeking to recruit an additional & exciting opportunity for an ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR AT SECONDARY LEVEL into a permanent, full-time position based in Newry.
You will develop your skills within Electrical Estimating & with the assistance of the wider Estimating Team, you will progress to cover all aspects of the Tendering Process from Tender Request to Submission, all with the view to progress your career to senior levels within Estimating, QS or Management within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare, compile and submit tenders, using our estimating templates/software within clients required deadlines.
- Report Directly to the Senior Electrical Estimator.
- Assist Estimating Team in handover secured projects to the Contracts team, BOQ & Budgets.
What you will Need (Experience):
- At least 2 years experience as Electrical Apprentice (with sufficient experience on-site given to complete apprenticeship) OR At Least 2 years experience as Junior Electrical Estimator within the Construction environment.
- A good level of secondary education demonstrating high levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Have a technical knowledge of electrical installations ranging from domestic to large commercial / industrial.
- Deadline driven.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills.
