The Commercial Property team advises a broad client base ranging from owner-managed businesses and investors through to developers, lenders and commercial landlords. The department handles a varied mix of acquisitions, disposals, development projects, secured lending and landlord and tenant work, whilst working closely alongside the firm's Corporate, Litigation and Employment teams to deliver a truly joined-up service.

The firm combines the quality of work often associated with larger regional practices whilst maintaining a genuinely collegiate culture where lawyers are encouraged to develop long-term client relationships and build successful careers.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join the firm's established Commercial Property department. This role would suit an ambitious Commercial Property Solicitor who enjoys managing high-quality work whilst also taking an active role in developing client relationships and growing a personal practice.

The successful individual will inherit a strong flow of existing work whilst also being encouraged and supported to build their own profile within the local business community. For the right person, there is a genuine long-term route towards Partnership, with the firm actively seeking individuals who want to establish themselves within the practice and become part of its future leadership. This reflects the firm's long-term succession planning and continued investment in its next generation of Partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a varied commercial property caseload from instruction through to completion.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
  • Handle landlord and tenant matters, including lease negotiations, renewals and licences.
  • Advise developers, investors, lenders and business owners on a broad range of property transactions.
  • Assist with development projects, site acquisitions and associated property matters.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Corporate and Litigation where transactions require wider commercial input.
  • Develop long-term client relationships and become embedded within the local business community.
  • Take an active role in networking and business development.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Commercial Property department.
