The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Solicitor to join an ambitious and expanding Construction team. This role offers significantly more than simply inheriting a caseload. The successful candidate will become a key member of a growing specialist department, handling a broad range of high-quality construction matters whilst helping shape the future growth and development of the practice. The Role
As a Construction Solicitor, you will:
- Manage a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
- Advise developers, contractors, consultants, employers and other commercial clients.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on construction contracts and associated documentation.
- Handle construction disputes from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Provide commercially focused legal advice to clients across a range of sectors.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Contribute to business development, networking and departmental growth.
- Maintain excellent compliance, file management and client care standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Commercial team.

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
- 5+ years' PQE or above within Construction Law.
- Experience in contentious construction matters.
- Exposure to non-contentious construction work would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- The ability to manage matters independently.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
