Scope of Role
The Head of HSE will lead the organisations Health, Safety and Environmental function across the business, providing leadership and direction for HSE culture, standards and performance.
The Head of HSE will work closely with Operations, business support functions and the supply chain to ensure HSE is practical, visible and embedded in decision-making, project delivery and day-to-day ways of working. The role will promote shared ownership, clear accountability and consistent standards across the organisation.
The role will develop and maintain consistent HSE systems, reporting, assurance and improvement processes across projects, departments and regions, supporting compliance and measurable improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesHSE Leadership and Culture
- Lead the HSE team across all regions and provide strategic leadership and direction for the Health, Safety and Environmental function.
- Set clear HSE expectations, standards and priorities for the business.
- Champion a positive HSE culture across the organisation and provide visible leadership throughout the organisation, including on live projects.
- Build strong relationships with team members across departments to promote collaboration and shared ownership.
- Represent the organisation in health, safety, environmental and sustainability forums or client discussions where required.
HSE Systems, Standards & Compliance
- Maintain H&S policies, procedures and practical guidance to support safe project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with CDM requirements, relevant legislation, regulatory obligations, project and client requirements. xgikmsk
