HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT MANAGER CONFIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY | COMMERCIAL FIT-OUT & REFURBISHMENT The Opportunity An established construction business is looking to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment Manager to lead the day-to-day HSE function across its national project portfolio. This is a highly influential role, working closely with the Executive Board, Senior Leadership Team and operational delivery teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape HSE strategy, strengthen standards and embed a proactive safety culture within a growing SME. Job Purpose The HSE Manager will operate as a strategic partner to the business, developing and delivering HSE services that support business performance while providing practical advice, guidance, direction and support to internal teams, contractors and site management. Success will be demonstrated through strong legal and regulatory compliance, effective risk management, measurable improvements in HSE performance, a proactive safety culture and the integration of HSE principles into operational delivery and business growth. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team to design, develop and implement best-practice HSE solutions that meet legislative requirements and current and future business needs. Collate, analyse and monitor HSE performance data, identifying trends and improvement opportunities and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. Develop, review and maintain HSE policies, procedures and supporting documentation in line with relevant legislation and industry best practice. Build strong relationships with operational leaders, project teams and other key stakeholders to support safe and effective project delivery. Engage with client HSE representatives where required, providing guidance on project processes, procedures and operational delivery.
