Health & Safety Manager

Contract: Full-time, permanent Working arrangement: On-site
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join an established manufacturing site, taking responsibility for day-to-day safety management.

Reporting directly to the site General Manager, with support from the wider Group Safety Management team, you will lead safety improvements, maintain effective management systems and work closely with operational teams to promote safe working practices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Lead, develop and continuously improve safety management systems in line with ISO 45001.

Manage incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.

Conduct regular internal safety audits and facilitate external audits.

Maintain and review site risk assessments and safety manuals.

Provide day-to-day operational HSE advice and support to the site management team.

Oversee contractor management systems and safe working practices.

Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience Required
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent occupational safety qualification.

A minimum of three years experience in safety management.

Proven experience in safety supervision and management.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A proactive, practical approach to improving safety performance.

Willingness to travel regularly between sites.
