This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced OHT who enjoys working independently, visiting different workplaces and making a positive impact on employee health and wellbeing.

Phlebotomy experience is essential for this position, and applications from Occupational Health Practice Nurses (OHPNs) with relevant health surveillance and blood-taking experience are also welcomed.

The Role

Working across an agreed geographical area, you will deliver a range of Occupational Health services at client sites and occasionally from the provider's offices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting health surveillance assessments, including audiometry, spirometry, skin assessments and HAVS.

  • Undertaking phlebotomy and blood sampling as required.

  • Carrying out forklift truck (FLT) medical assessments.

  • Delivering workplace health promotion and wellbeing activities.

  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring assessments are completed to a high professional standard.

  • Travelling between client locations to deliver an efficient and professional service.

Locations & Travel

Ideally, you will be based in Leicester, Rugby or the surrounding areas, allowing convenient access to the client locations.

The majority of clinics will be based around:

  • Nuneaton – CV10

  • Loughborough – LE12

  • Rugby – CV23

  • Northampton – NN4

Nuneaton and Loughborough will account for the most frequent visits, with additional clinics in Rugby and Northampton.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as an Occupational Health Technician, or an Occupational Health Practice Nurse with relevant health surveillance experience.

  • Essential: Competent and experienced in phlebotomy/blood taking.

  • Experience delivering health surveillance, particularly audiometry and spirometry.

  • Knowledge of HAVS, skin surveillance and FLT medicals would be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied clinic schedule.

  • Willingness to travel across the agreed geographical area.

Working Hours

This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.5 hours over 3 days per week, Monday to Thursday.

Typical working hours are 9:00am–5:00pm, with occasional 8:00am starts. Some flexibility will be required for early, late or occasional night-shift clinics, depending on client requirements.

Why Apply?

If you're looking for a part-time Occupational Health position that offers variety, flexibility and the opportunity to work with a range of businesses, this could be an excellent next step.

You'll be joining an established Occupational Health service, delivering essential workplace health surveillance and supporting healthier, safer working environments.
