OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Health Nurse Advisor – Clinical Governance Lead to join an established in-house Occupational Health service. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Occupational Health professional to take on a strategic leadership role within a growing Occupational Health unit focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
Duties
- Provide professional and clinical leadership to the Occupational Health Nursing team
- Lead clinical governance processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
- Support the delivery of health surveillance and statutory monitoring programmes
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to improve clinical outcomes and service delivery
- Oversee service performance, demand and capacity management
- Lead health promotion, wellbeing and risk management initiatives
- Support SEQOHS compliance, audit and assurance processes
- Hold a proportionate clinical caseload and contribute to nurse‑led clinics
- Provide line management, supervision and professional support to nursing staff
Criteria
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
- Recognised Occupational Health Nursing qualification
- Extensive post‑qualification Occupational Health experience
- Previous leadership or management experience within Occupational Health
- Experience developing clinical governance frameworks and improving service delivery
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and IT skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation within an occupational setting
- Experience within complex or public sector Occupational Health environments
Salary & Benefits
