We are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a well-established Occupational Health service, working onsite in Colworth, Bedfordshire for 3 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse who enjoys building strong relationships and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Based at a single site, you will have the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of the working environment and provide practical, tailored Occupational Health advice to employees and managers.

The role offers a varied mix of case management, fitness for work assessments, pre-placement assessments and workplace wellbeing, with a strong emphasis on quality of care rather than high appointment volumes.

Duties

  • Conduct management referrals and sickness absence assessments.
  • Provide practical fitness for work advice and recommendations.
  • Support safe and sustainable returns to work and advise on reasonable workplace adjustments.
  • Complete pre-placement and fitness for work assessments.
  • Produce clear, high-quality Occupational Health reports for managers.
  • Deliver health promotion campaigns and employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Build effective relationships with employees, managers, HR and Health & Safety teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary Occupational Health team.
  • Criteria
  • Current NMC registration
  • Occupational Health qualification or relevant Occupational Health experience.
  • Experience of case management and fitness for work assessments.
  • Strong Occupational Health report writing and communication skills.
  • A proactive, compassionate and person-centred approach.
  • Confidence working autonomously while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Salary & Benefits
  • £45,000 to £50,000 FTE, dependent on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata.
