Here’s a fantastic chance to join a respected and well‑established Occupational Health Provider as a Home-Based Occupational Health Advisor. This is a permanent opportunity, available on a full or part‑time basis (minimum three days per week), offering real flexibility and a warm, supportive team environment.

The Role

Working remotely as an Occupational Health Advisor as part of a dedicated Occupational Health team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality clinical services to a valued client base. Your focus will be on expert case management, coaching, and promoting a proactive approach to employee wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 20–45 minute telephone‑based absence and fitness‑for‑work case management appointments
  • Deliver clear, evidence‑based written reports with advice on adjustments and return‑to‑work planning
  • Offer case coaching to line managers and referrers to improve the quality of referrals and support effective attendance management
  • Process Pre‑Placement Questionnaires (PPQs)
  • Support the triage function within the clinical team
  • Deliver expert occupational health advice in line with legislation and best practice
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, offering clinical supervision where appropriate
  • Maintain NMC registration and participate in ongoing CPD, supervision, and reflective practice

What You’ll Need in this Occupational Health Advisor post

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor, including the delivery of Occupational Health case management
  • Active NMC registration
  • A qualification in Occupational Health is highly desirable
  • Strong written communication with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work independently
  • Solid IT literacy
  • Clear understanding of professional boundaries, escalation routes, and safe practice
  • Strong grasp of confidentiality and data protection requirements in OH

Hours & Location

  • Full or part‑time hours available (minimum 3 days per week)
  • Fully home‑based (UK only) – Remote working outside of the UK is not permitted
  • You must have the legal right to live and work in the UK – Sponsorship is not available with this role.
