Overview

OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Technician to join a leading Occupational Health Provider, in a Full-Time Permanent role. This onsite post will be based at the Client Site in Hounslow.

The Role

The role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Technician to provide a first-class Occupational Health Screening Service. In a lone working role, you will be proactive, able to work independently, and confident in resolving challenges within the appropriate frameworks. You will be responsible for delivering a range of essential services, including:

  • Safety Critical Assessments
  • Airside Driver Assessments
  • Confined Space Assessments
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Wellbeing Assessments
  • Health Promotion, Advice, and Education
  • Providing professional advice, support, and guidance
  • Assessing individuals’ fitness for specific job roles

Hours

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week on an afternoon/evening rota (3pm – 11pm). Transport back to your car at the end of each shift will be provided.

Required Skills

To be the successful Occupational Health Technician candidate for this role, you’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an Occupational Health setting (preferred, but not essential. Experience of delivering Medical or Wellbeing Assessments also accepted.)
  • A background in one of the following: Hospital Health Care Assistant, Sports Science Graduate, Fitness Instructor, Ambulance EMT, Military Medic, or Offshore Medic
  • Friendly and approachable manner with excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT literacy and digital record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider Occupational Health team
  • Full, clean UK driving licence with own transport to get to the client site
  • Commitment to professional development and maintaining confidentiality at all times
