Occupational Health Technician
Location: Jersey (Onsite)Salary: Up to £35,000 per annumHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
OH Medical is recruiting for an Occupational Health Technician to join a leading Occupational Health provider based in Jersey. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in Occupational Health, delivering health surveillance services across a variety of client sites. You'll receive a comprehensive three-week induction and training programme in the UK, with all travel expenses covered, alongside ongoing mentoring and support from an experienced team.
Please note: Applicants must currently reside in Jersey and have the right to work in Jersey.
OHT Duties
- Deliver health surveillance including audiometry, spirometry and baseline health assessments
- Carry out biometric measurements including height, weight, blood pressure and urinalysis
- Accurately maintain Occupational Health records and clinical documentation
- Ensure medical equipment is clean, maintained and fit for purpose
- Support workplace health promotion initiatives
- Gather and record clinical information to support Occupational Health decision-making
- Visit client sites across Jersey to deliver Occupational Health services
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and GDPR compliance
Criteria
- Must currently reside in Jersey with the right to work in Jersey
- Full UK or Jersey driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle for business travel
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, Emergency Care Technician, Army Medic or similar would be beneficial
- Sports Science graduates with experience carrying out baseline health assessments are encouraged to apply
- Good understanding of GDPR and confidential record keeping
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
