Overview
OH Medical is working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading Occupational Health and Wellbeing providers to recruit an Occupational Health Technician based in Blackburn.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding peripatetic team, travelling across the UK in a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to deliver high-quality health surveillance services. You’ll receive full training, ongoing mentoring, and the chance to build a rewarding career within a supportive, forward-thinking organisation.
Duties
- Conduct health surveillance screenings including audiometry, spirometry, blood pressure, height, weight, urinalysis, and vision testing.
- Drive a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites nationwide.
- Maintain accurate occupational health records and equipment standards.
- Support health promotion activities and assist clinical teams with information gathering.
- Provide biometric data to support clinical decision-making.
Criteria
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Army Medic, Ambulance Technician, or similar, or a degree in Sports Science (or related field).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage travel demands.
- A proactive and professional approach to work.
- Full manual UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months) and ability to park the MMU overnight.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away up to 3 weeks per month (home every weekend).
Salary & Benefits
- £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (DOE).
- Full 3-week induction and training programme.
