Clinical Governance Manager/Clinical Nurse Manager

About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Governance Manager to join our dynamic Health and Wellbeing Services team. This is a key role within the multi-disciplined department, where you’ll be responsible for shaping and implementing Occupational Health policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and clinical practices. Your goal will be to ensure that clinical interventions are delivered in a customer-focused manner and that service levels meet the needs of our client within the available resources.

You’ll provide clinical expertise and lead the Health and Wellbeing Teams, which include administration, counselling, wellbeing, and occupational health nursing. The role also involves overseeing clinician audits to maintain safe, high-quality clinical practices across both police forces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review Occupational Health policies and practices.
  • Lead a team of multi-disciplined team leaders across health and wellbeing services.
  • Work closely with the Health and Wellbeing Delivery Manager (mental health lead) based in Kent.
  • Conduct clinician audits to ensure safe, effective clinical practices across the services
  • Supervise and mentor your teams, ensuring they meet performance targets and maintain high standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered General Nurse with a specialist Occupational Health qualification and NMC Part 3 registration.
  • Proven senior leadership experience, with the ability to organise, prioritise, and manage workloads under pressure.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A highly motivated and dynamic individual with a passion for health and wellbeing within a police environment.
