OH Medical is currently seeking two experienced professionals to join an in-house Occupational Health Department in Glasgow on Full-Time Fixed Term Contracts, both likely to extend. These exciting hybrid opportunities will see you become part of a multidisciplinary team within a high-functioning service.
The Roles:
- Occupational Health Advisor – 12-month Contract
- Occupational Health Clinical Lead – 9-month Contract
These roles offer a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery and strategic development of a full remit Occupational Health Service that already operates to high clinical standards. You will play a key role in health surveillance, case management, and service enhancement, with responsibilities tailored to your role and level of experience:
- Occupational Health Advisor
- Deliver core occupational health services and health surveillance.
- Support improvements in clinical governance arrangements.
- Contribute to the introduction of clinical audit into the service.
- Occupational Health Clinical Lead
- Lead the development and implementation of the Occupational Health Advisory Service.
- Drive the wellbeing strategy, policies, and procedures to promote a positive health culture.
- Manage strategic aspects including clinical governance, health promotion projects, and team supervision.
- Provide expert advice on complex fitness-for-work decisions, risk management, and redeployment.
Required Skills:
For both the Occupational Health Advisor and Clinical Lead roles, successful candidates will have:
- NMC Registration as a Registered Nurse with post-registration experience.
- A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health.
- Proven occupational health experience, including Clinical History Taking, Physical Examination, and health surveillance.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and independent working skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and clinical guidance.
- Commitment to CPD and strong organisational/time management skills.
- PVG Scheme membership for regulated work with protected adults.
- Full driving licence or ability to travel as required.
For the Clinical Lead role additionally, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior OH role with strategic responsibilities.
- Expertise in managing complex clinical cases and advising management.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Confidence in overseeing service development, procurement, and external partnerships.
Salary & Benefits:
Our client offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and qualifications:
- Occupational Health Advisor: £43,581 – £45,767 D.O.E
- Occupational Health Clinical Lead: £59,466 – £62,477 D.O.E
