Occupational Health Service Manager

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Service Manager to join a growing Occupational Health and wellbeing service in Manchester.

This is a full-time, office-based position offering a salary of £55,000 to £65,000 per annum plus an excellent benefits package.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of a team of Occupational Health Advisers and Administrators, maintaining high clinical standards and ensuring services are delivered effectively against KPIs and SLAs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health professional looking to combine clinical leadership with operational management.

Duties

  • Manage and support the day-to-day performance of Occupational Health Advisers and Administrators.
  • Ensure Occupational Health services are delivered in line with agreed KPIs, SLAs and clinical governance standards.
  • Monitor clinical quality through regular call and report audits, coaching and feedback.
  • Provide clinical guidance on risk, safeguarding and complex Occupational Health queries.
  • Identify learning needs and deliver appropriate clinical training and inductions.
  • Hold regular team meetings, one-to-ones, probation reviews and performance reviews.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of clinical queries and complaints.
  • Support ongoing quality, compliance and SEQOHS accreditation requirements.

Criteria

  • Specialist Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health.
  • Current NMC registration, preferably Part 3 of the register.
  • Currently practising within Occupational Health.
  • Previous leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health clinical governance and service delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of computer literacy.
  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to manage both your own workload and a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and a professional approach.
