OH Medical is currently supporting a leading UK contractor in the search for an experienced SHE Advisor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you’ll play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture across multiple projects nationwide.
The Role
As a SHE Advisor, you will act as a key point of contact across site operations, providing expert advice and support to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation while promoting continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with operational teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders to embed best practice and maintain high safety standards across all activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of SHE policies and procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across UK projects
- Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Deliver SHE training and promote hazard awareness across teams
- Provide expert guidance on HSE legislation and compliance
- Monitor SHE performance and produce reports with actionable insights
- Support environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across the business
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ SHE experience within construction or civil engineering
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3) / NVQ or Tech IOSH (essential)
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and site practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- CSCS Safety Professional card
- Full UK Driving Licence
