OH Medical is working in partnership with Dyfed Powys Police and their in-house Occupational Health service to recruit a Deputy Occupational Health Manager. This is a hybrid position where you will work at least 3 days per week onsite, with the flexibility to also work from home the rest of the week. This role would suit a confident Senior OHA / Deputy Manager who enjoys leadership, governance and service development, while still maintaining a clinical caseload.

Duties:

  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and supervision to the OH team.
  • Deputise for the OH Manager as required.
  • Manage a clinical caseload, including complex case management and management reporting.
  • Triage and oversee OH referrals, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Lead vaccination, health surveillance and health promotion programmes.
  • Maintain clinical governance standards, audits and quality assurance.
  • Support staff development, supervision and CPD.
  • Provide expert OH advice to senior stakeholders and managers.

Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC Parts 1 and 3 registration.
  • Recognised Occupational Health qualification.
  • Significant experience working in Occupational Health.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong case management and report-writing skills.
  • Good knowledge of OH legislation and clinical governance.
  • Confident working autonomously and leading others.
  • Welsh language skills desirable (or willingness to work towards).
