OH Medical is working in partnership with an established Occupational Health provider to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Nurse / Advisor to support a key client base in the Cardiff region. This is a role offering autonomy, variety and strong clinical support. You’ll work independently day to day while remaining closely connected to a wider clinical network, including access to senior clinicians and peer support for real-time clinical discussions.
Duties:
- Deliver the full OH remit including case management, health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments.
- Carry out vaccinations, drug & alcohol testing, DSE and workplace health assessments.
- Conduct wellbeing clinics and manage medical stock.
- Implement and follow clinical policies and procedures.
- Travel to client sites across the Cardiff area (travel time included within working hours).
- Make autonomous clinical decisions and appropriate referrals when required.
- Promote health and wellbeing through education and advice.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in line with GDPR and clinical governance standards.
- Support junior staff and contribute to service KPIs where appropriate.
Criteria:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Part 3 (Occupational Health) registration is essential.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Occupational Health.
- Competent in spirometry, audiometry, HAVS, vaccinations and phlebotomy.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Confident working autonomously with strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and report‑writing ability.
