OH Medical is recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor (Peripatetic) to join a leading Occupational Health provider on a permanent part-time basis (3 days per week) covering Bristol and South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Occupational Health Advisor to deliver a full range of Occupational Health services across a diverse portfolio of commercial clients within sectors including manufacturing, engineering and pharmaceuticals. The role offers a varied caseload, flexible working arrangements, hybrid working opportunities and the chance to work autonomously while being supported by an experienced clinical team. Occupational Health Advisor Duties

  • Deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health service across client sites throughout Bristol and South Wales.
  • Conduct management referrals and provide clear, evidence-based fitness for work reports.
  • Undertake health surveillance including: Audiometry, Spirometry, HAVS assessments, Skin assessments, Forklift truck medicals.
  • Complete pre-placement health assessments and new starter screening.
  • Deliver workplace wellbeing programmes and health promotion initiatives.
  • Administer vaccinations including Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccinations.
  • Undertake phlebotomy and venepuncture as required.
  • Maintain accurate Occupational Health records and clinical documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Health & Safety and management teams.
  • Provide professional Occupational Health advice to clients and employees.
  • Support service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage a varied workload across multiple client locations.

Occupational Health Advisor Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
  • Occupational Health qualification at Certificate, Diploma or Degree level.
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification Occupational Health experience within the commercial sector.
  • Experience conducting management referrals and case management.
  • Competent in delivering health surveillance programmes.
  • Skilled in vaccinations and phlebotomy.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Experience using Cohort or Cority software would be advantageous.
