OH Medical is proud to be working with a leading occupational health provider to recruit a Senior Occupational Health Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced OH professional to take on a senior, influential role, shaping occupational health strategy and delivering high-quality services across multiple sites.

The Role:

  • Based in an office in Belfast, with travel across multiple client sites throughout Northern Ireland as and when required, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and developing occupational health services.
  • You will provide clinical leadership, manage key programmes, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain occupational health policies and procedures.
  • Establish effective communication protocols with occupational physicians and key stakeholders.
  • Lead absence management, case management and return-to-work programmes.
  • Oversee health surveillance, pre-employment screening and trend analysis.
  • Manage ergonomics, manual handling and industrial hygiene programmes.
  • Deliver vaccinations and health promotion initiatives.
  • Provide training in manual handling, workstation set-up and blood-borne pathogen awareness.
  • Manage first aid provision and respond to occupational injuries and illness.
  • Liaise with occupational physicians and external stakeholders where required.
  • Support incident investigations and statutory reporting.
  • Maintain confidential medical records and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Conduct pregnancy risk assessments and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Supervise on-site medical technicians and support emergency response activities.

About You:

  • Registered Nurse with a recognised Occupational Health qualification.
  • Significant experience in the full remit of occupational health service delivery.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident in managing complex cases and programmes.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Northern Ireland when required.
