OH Medical is currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a forward-thinking Occupational Health provider delivering onsite services across two Northern Ireland locations. This is a varied hybrid role offering a mix of onsite and remote working.
The successful Occupational Health Advisor will typically work:
- 2 days onsite in Belfast
- 2 days onsite in Larne
- 1 day remote working

The Role
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you’ll deliver the full remit of Occupational Health services including case management, health surveillance, workplace wellbeing, and fitness for work advice. You’ll work closely with managers, HR, and Health & Safety teams to support employee wellbeing while helping maintain safe and productive workplaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Full OH case management
- Fitness for work assessments
- Absence management and return to work support
- Health surveillance including:
- Audiometry
- Spirometry
- Vision screening
- HAVS
- COSHH related surveillance
- Producing clear and professional management reports
- Supporting workplace wellbeing initiatives
- Advising on occupational health legislation and best practice
- Working collaboratively with wider OH and clinical teams
- Providing guidance and escalation support to OH Nurses and Technicians where required
Essential Requirements for the Occupational Health Advisor
- Registered Nurse with an Occupational Health qualification
- Current NMC registration (Part 1 or Part 3)
- Previous Occupational Health experience in a similar setting
- Strong case management and health surveillance experience
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Confident undertaking both face-to-face and telephone assessments
- Good working knowledge of relevant legislation including:
- Health & Safety at Work Act
- Equality Act
- Data Protection/GDPR
- Strong IT and occupational health software skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
