OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Technician to join a leading Occupational Health Provider in a Full-Time, dynamic on-site post in North Acton.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Health Screening including Baseline Measurements (Height, Weight, BP and Urinalysis)
- Undertake Health Surveillance, and fitness-for-work medicals (including Audiometry & Spirometry)
- Manage drug and alcohol testing, ensuring all chain of custody protocols are followed with precision.
- Deliver Health and Wellbeing promotion & advice
- Maintain all employee records with accurately recorded medical information
- Ensure all clinic equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in proper working condition
- Assist the broader occupational health team with their responsibilities, ensuring all information is collected and recorded accurately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working within an Occupational Health setting is preferred
- Suitable backgrounds include: Hospital Health Care Assistant; Fitness Instructor; Ambulance EMT; Military Medic; Offshore Medic.
- Friendly and approachable with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in IT and digital systems.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Knowledgeable about patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Strong educational background with good numeracy and written English skills.
- Able to work under supervision and aware of professional boundaries.
- Ideally experienced in Health Promotion, Audiometry, Spirometry & Vision testing
Travel, Hours & Salary
- Travel: This is a dynamic role working across multiple client sites, primarily based in the North Acton area. You will travel to different client locations with sites mostly located between Euston and West Ruislip.
- Hours: 37.5-hour workweek, typically 8am to 4pm, with some flexibility to support business demands.
- Salary & Benefits: A competitive salary £26,000 PA; 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service; an additional day leave for your birthday; Contributory pension scheme up to 6%; Life Assurance; Discounted Gym Membership; Cycle-to-Work Scheme; Plus More.
