An opportunity has arisen in our Cambridge based Operations team for a Documentation & Data Administrator.
The Documentation & Data Administrator will support the implementation of the new CIM200 manufacturing system, helping to capture, document, and improve operational processes across the business.
The role is ideal for a student, graduate, or junior professional looking to gain hands-on experience in systems implementation, process improvement, and technical documentation.
Working closely with subject matter experts across Operations, Production, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and IT, the role holder will learn how business processes operate and translate this knowledge into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.
The role combines technical writing, process mapping, data preparation, and problem-solving activities.
The successful candidate will play an active part in gathering information, identifying gaps or inconsistencies in documentation and data, and helping ensure the CIM200 project is supported by accurate, well-structured information.
What you’ll be doing for us
- Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Work with teams across the business to understand and document operational processes
- Gather information from stakeholders and translate it into user-friendly documentation
- Identify documentation gaps, process inconsistencies, and data quality issues
- Contribute ideas to improve documentation quality, efficiency, and user understanding.
- Technical Documentation
- Create, update, and maintain clear, accurate, and professional documentation to support the CIM200 implementation
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, user guides, and quick reference materials
- Convert information gathered from workshops and meetings into structured and easy-to-follow documentation
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect new system processes
- Create process maps and workflow documentation
- Ensure documentation meets company standards and document control requirements
- Work with subject matter experts to validate documentation before release.
- Data Preparation & System Support
- Assist with data entry, cleansing, validation, and review activities
- Identify missing information, duplicate records, inconsistencies, and formatting issues within project data
- Support preparation of master data for migration into CIM200
- Maintain project trackers, document registers, and supporting records
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by documenting findings and ensuring issues are clearly recorded.
