Role Overview
As an Influence Director at Ogilvy, you will lead strategic and impactful influence campaigns for a leading Beauty & Skincare client in the UK. You will manage client service, deliver excellence across creative, implementation and reporting, and maintain strong relationships with influencers, media, PR, social, brand activation, digital and other stakeholders. The role requires up‑to‑date knowledge of cultural and social trends and the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams to achieve objectives and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client service and day‑to‑day running of influencer campaigns, supporting managers and executives.
- Own the influencer process across accounts and strategy.
- Create and manage client budgets for brands.
- Organise and attend high‑profile events aligned with brand strategy.
- Collaborate with senior account team to meet objectives and service levels.
- Lead measurement and reporting, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Design industry‑leading influence strategy: objectives, targets, action plans, calendar and budget.
- Align with media, PR, social, brand activation, digital, and other stakeholders for best‑in‑class campaigns.
- Nurture client‑appropriate talent opportunities and relationships.
- Stay current on cultural/social trends and customer attitudes.
- Promote the influencer offering across the business, writing thought leadership and attending industry events.
- Lead additional projects such as new business pitches, market reviews and competitive trends.
- Build trusted relationships with senior clients based on proven delivery.
- Contribute to cross‑portfolio consistency and learning across brands.
- Communicate clearly with senior clients, advising on industry developments and relevance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Influence Director (ideally 1–2+ years at this level) – must have.
- Strong understanding of influence strategy and experience managing large brands – must have.
- Interest & experience in the beauty & skincare industry – nice to have.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to build effective working relationships.
- Solid grasp of the strategic and business context of the client to develop relevant solutions.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work confidently with other capabilities to find integrated solutions.
- Interest in culture, music, fashion or beauty.
