The Consulting Analyst role begins as a generalist, working across diverse projects in Marketing Transformation and Brand. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive desktop research, including category, competitor and trends analyses.
- Designing, conducting and analysing qualitative and quantitative market research.
- Participating in data gathering interviews and capturing key points.
- Engaging with and learning to apply AI tools, contributing to the development of agents on the WPP Open AI platform.
- Supporting the development of business and brand growth strategies and solutions.
- Taking ownership of client deliverables and presentations with strong visual clarity and strategic rigour.
- Developing the flow, content and participating in client workshops.
- Participating in growth conversations, managing new business proposals and pitches with existing and prospective clients.
- Contributing to thought leadership.
- Representing and maintaining the Ogilvy Consulting standard of excellence through a combination of 'intelligence and imagination'.
- Actively contributing to the unique culture of Ogilvy Consulting and monthly team meetings, encouraging collaboration across Ogilvy and WPP.
What You'll Need:
- 1-3 years of experience in a consultancy, client strategy position or equivalent strategic role in professional services specialising in brand or business transformation, psychology or behavioural science.
- A strong grasp of and comfort with data.
- A fascination with understanding people and working with them internally and externally to solve problems creatively.
- Adept at framing problems, developing solution hypotheses, and identifying creative paths to growth.
- Able to draw critical human and cultural insights from data and observation.
- Strong business, marketing and brand acumen and critical thinking skills.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A pragmatic approach, looking for solutions, simplifying complex issues and aiming for practical outcomes.
- Ability to take initiative and to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Strong work ethic with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint; Keynote is a plus.
- A strong eagerness to learn and use AI-powered tools and platforms.
- A curiosity and energy that allows you to adopt a can-do attitude to every challenge and initiative.
