Role Summary

A Team Assistant role working across the UK’s favourite health and beauty retailer, Boots. An entry level PR role supporting a team of 12 working across a busy press office as well as cross-channel marketing campaigns for Boots in Healthcare, Beauty, ESG and Brand. The role includes PA support for the Managing Partner leading the PR team. This will be approximately 20% of the role.

You must have a passion for PR and the influencer landscape, ideally with some work experience in consumer PR already under your belt. You should also be someone with strong organisational skills, and comfortable with important administrative responsibilities such as coverage tracking, data management and product send outs. You will enjoy working in a fast paced environment, be confident in juggling different projects and managing different deadlines. We are looking for a driven self-starter, a curious mind and someone with strong attention to detail. You will be joining a successful team that runs on positivity and mutual support between team members. Our ambition is to train and develop the person coming into this role, helping to lay the foundations for a successful career in PR.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A keen interest in either Beauty, Brand or Healthcare PR (all three a bonus!)

  • Some work experience in a consumer PR or influencer agency or in-house is preferable

Key Team Responsibilities – 80% of your time:

  • Overseeing press and influencer sample coordination and requests
  • Management of stock room and product samples
  • Tracking editorial and press coverage – co-ordinating weekly client reports
  • Responding to influencer and media enquiries
  • Monitoring the news agenda, identifying opportunities for our clients
  • Supporting on press and influencer events
  • Drafting email pitches and media alerts for clients
  • Supporting team on media relations, including creation of media lists and being involved with sell-ins – where appropriate
  • Developing press and influencer contacts
  • Booking meeting rooms for senior team members
  • Supporting with general admin and organising team events and socials

Key PA Responsibilities for managing partner – 20% of your time:

  • Organisation and co-ordination of meetings – this will be for internal meetings, as well as external meetings which will require liaison with clients and clients’ support team
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Organisation of travel: train, taxis
  • Supporting with internal processes – accessing the operating system on behalf of the MP
  • Supporting with expenses
  • Planning ahead and anticipating requirements
