Role: As an Account Executive at Ogilvy, working on an exciting Google Project, you will be learning and responsible for the core skills of projects and client management. You will provide essential support to the Account Manager and Account Director on key PR and earned creator activations, focusing on the seamless execution of workshops, targeted mailers, and seasonal parties. The ideal candidate will be someone with at least one year’s experience who champions diverse thinking and approaches, has a passion for creativity and innovation, and is committed to delivering results for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing small projects related to event logistics, mailer coordination, or creator outreach and supporting more senior colleagues on larger projects.
- Building strong collaborative relationships with junior level clients and event partners/creators.
- Staying up to date on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies, particularly within the tech and AI space, sharing insights and recommendations with clients and internal teams.
- Monitoring and analysing project performance including coverage and social reporting and measurement, with a focus on event attendance and creator engagement.
- Supporting in developing and delivering presentations and reports to clients, including post‑event recaps.
- Media relations, selling‑in to secure press coverage for campaigns in a broad range of publications.
- Drafting event‑related communications considering product and/or campaign details.
- Providing administrative support, including status reports, meeting scheduling, budget tracking, competitor reviews, event guest list management, and creator outreach tracking.
- Staying on top of your projects and their finance, including raising POs and organising payments to event suppliers and third‑party vendors.
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures such as timesheets and setting up suppliers.
Requirements:
- Interest and/or experience working on high‑profile global brands as part of a fast‑paced agency is desired.
- Tech‑savvy with a keen interest in AI and emerging technologies.
- 12 months’ proven experience working on campaigns and events with press and influencers.
- Relevant press contacts and an understanding of the UK media landscape.
- Tapped into culture and able to help advise clients on moments and reactive opportunities.
- Proven track record of managing smaller projects and delivering results for clients, especially in a fast‑paced event or campaign environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience in building consistently productive relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Organised and detail‑oriented, with strong project management skills, critical for managing event logistics and multiple moving parts.
- Can‑do attitude combined with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Able to think creatively and bring new ideas to the table that will help drive client success.
- Interest in and/or exposure to working with earned creators for events and activations.
- Demonstrates ability for creative problem solving in approaching every task – whether that’s identifying a way to improve the internal process or co‑creating an inspiring way to sell in the work.
- Able to consider different angles on a brief – a non‑linear thinker.
