About the Role:
As the Management Accountant, you will be a key member of the reporting team, working alongside the Senior Management Accountant, Group Management Accountant, Management Accountant and Junior Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Senior Management Accountant, you will play an important role in Ogilvy UK’s financial reporting. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful reporting to WPP. You will act as a key point of contact for both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, communicate effectively, and proactively resolve issues is essential. This role provides excellent exposure to management reporting, forecasting, balance sheet control, intercompany accounting, making it an ideal opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to further develop and progress in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly P&L (Actuals and Flash) with supporting reconciliations and commentary.
- Support the Senior Management Accountant with quarterly reforecasting, budgeting, and proforma preparation.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including supporting documentation and commentary for review by the Senior Management Accountant and Financial Controller.
- Prepare monthly spend reports for budget holders, T&E, Awards, NB.
- Own all monthly reporting and quarterly reforecasting, budgeting, and proforma preparation for WW GB unit.
- Prepare and submit all monthly and quarterly K2 reporting.
- Own the intercompany reporting and compliance process for OAUKJ, ensuring deadlines are met and that all balances are fully supported and documented. Escalate mismatches and issues in line with the agreed control framework.
- Manage the clearance of unprocessed intercompany invoices, liaising with operational teams and the wider finance function as required.
- Partner with the SMA on projects, analysis, and process improvements.
- Support group-wide initiatives and contribute to the optimisation of technology and reporting.
- PO/PRJ creation liaising with Finance Plus where required.
- Review and approve travel mailbox requests in line with company policy.
- Prepare and process ADWRAP insurance journals.
About You:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a finance role, ideally in media, marketing, or a project-based services business.
- Well organised and able to manage a busy reporting timetable.
- Strong financial analysis and technical accounting skills.
- Advanced Excel and systems knowledge (Workday/Cartesis an advantage).
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify improved ways of working.
- Be a natural team player capable of participation at all levels.
