About Ogilvy
Ogilvy UK has been creating iconic ideas that deliver impact at scale for clients ever since David Ogilvy founded the company in 1948. Ogilvy UK specialises in bringing together brand advertising, customer experience marketing, PR, influence and consulting, all fuelled by Behavioural Science. Our world‑class award‑winning creative campaigns deliver solutions for clients including Sainsbury’s, Argos, Mondelēz International, Unilever, TK Maxx and Pernod Ricard. In 2023, Ogilvy UK celebrated their 75th anniversary and was the most awarded agency in Europe. Ogilvy is home to the largest influencer marketing practice globally, and hosts the world’s biggest festival of behavioural science and creativity, Nudgestock – now in its 12th year. Ogilvy’s award‑winning influence division is one of the first agencies to develop a specialist ‘Business Influence’ team, integrating the value of influence into the core of Business Marketing operations for clients with a more ‘corporate’ slant or B2B focus. We’ve had the pleasure of working with world‑leading brands such as TCS, Samsung Business, Lloyds Banking, Intel Gaming, Mastercard, EY, and many more. Our influencer proposition covers the full spectrum of integrated influencer work, from household celebrities to niche micro‑influencers, and from social media content to above‑the‑line (ATL) production. We prove every day that influencer marketing sits at the heart of modern business solutions.
The Role
As a Business Influence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between B2B marketing strategy and high‑impact influencer execution. While our work does occasionally cover B2C elements, the vast majority of your portfolio will be B2B‑focused. Your deep understanding of B2B audiences, corporate brand value, complex routes to market, and professional decision‑making journeys will play a key role in spotting where influence can add maximum value. In this role, you will be directly responsible for the ideation, project management, and end‑to‑end execution of influencer marketing campaigns. You will work across a highly diverse range of activations, including:
- Large‑scale production shoots (requiring solid production knowledge).
- Developing multi‑market toolkits for global brands.
- Creating research reports and thought‑leadership content.
- Developing and scaling employee advocacy/employee influencer programs.
- Partnering with industry thought leaders, executives, and academics for high‑profile events.
Ogilvy’s standard of delivery requires your client management to be first‑class. You must be results‑oriented, strategic, and capable of developing “best‑in‑class” ongoing influencer programmes with innovative creativity at their core. Additionally, as a Manager/Account Manager within our team, you will act as a vital mentor and escalation point for Account Executives (AEs), supporting them in their professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Production (End‑to‑End)
- Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of complex influencer campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and exceed client KPIs.
- Utilize your production knowledge to oversee content creation pipelines, from brief to final delivery, ensuring high‑quality output across social, digital, and offline channels.
- Actively contribute to the overarching Influencer strategy: recommend objectives, targets, action plans, calendars, and budgets.
- Construct, design, and present high‑quality, strategically sound pitch and campaign decks for internal stakeholders and clients.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain and build successful, trusting client relationships, acting as a day‑to‑day lead.
- Confidently sell in creative ideas, content streams, and strategic pivots in quick‑turnaround and high‑pressure situations.
- Align and collaborate seamlessly with cross‑functional teams (Media, PR, Social, Brand Activation, and Digital) to deliver integrated campaigns.
Talent, Reporting & Operations
- Identify, vet, and negotiate contracts with B2B thought leaders, industry experts, and creators.
- Oversee the management of the influencer database, ensuring it is kept up‑to‑date and compliant with data standards.
- Oversee campaign reporting and measurement. While you will support and delegate to the Account Executive on reporting and identification tasks, you will maintain ultimate accountability for the accuracy and strategic insight of the data presented to clients.
- Stay up‑to‑date with cultural, B2B, and social trends, as well as customer views and attitudes, translating these into actionable campaign insights.
- Support on additional projects as required, including new business pitches, market reviews, and competitive trend analysis.
Desired Skills and Experience
Must‑Haves:
- A minimum of 2–3 years of dedicated experience in influencer marketing, corporate PR, or B2B marketing/sales.
- A strong understanding of B2B audiences, professional social networks (specifically LinkedIn), and how to navigate the complex compliance, legal, and brand safety requirements of corporate clients.
- Proven ability to put together polished, logical, and visually compelling strategy and pitch decks (Keynote/PowerPoint).
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building consistently productive relationships with clients, talent, and internal agency partners.
- Self‑motivated, action‑oriented, and ambitious, with a positive “can‑do” attitude and the ability to remain calm and optimistic under pressure.
- Proven experience integrating digital, social media, and PR into cohesive campaign activities.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
- Practical experience with content production processes, including video shoots, licensing, and usage rights.
- Experience working within a Corporate PR agency or a B2B sales/account management environment is highly advantageous, as it aids in understanding complex stakeholder structures.
- Experience mentoring, guiding, or delegating tasks to junior team members (AEs/Interns) to help them grow and succeed.
- An avid follower of industry news, creator economy trends, and emerging B2B social platforms.
How we help you Thrive:
- 25 days annual leave + 1 Volunteer Day
- Enhanced Maternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave
- Flexible Working Model with core working hours: 10am – 4pm
- Wellbeing and Health: Up to £25.00 per month towards physical or online exercise class membership, Unmind membership, LifeWorks tool and annual eye tests.
