About Ogilvy

Ogilvy UK has been creating iconic ideas that deliver impact at scale for clients ever since David Ogilvy founded the company in 1948. Ogilvy UK specialises in bringing together brand advertising, customer experience marketing, PR, influence and consulting, all fuelled by Behavioural Science. Our world-class award‑winning creative campaigns deliver solutions for clients including Sainsbury’s, Argos, Mondelēz International, Unilever, TK Maxx and Pernod Ricard. In 2023, Ogilvy UK celebrated their 75th anniversary and was the most awarded agency in Europe. Ogilvy is home to the largest influencer marketing practice globally, and hosts the world’s biggest festival of behavioural science and creativity, Nudgestock – now in its 12th year. Ogilvy’s award‑winning influence division is one of the first agencies to develop a specialist ‘Business Influence’ team, integrating the value of influence into the core of Business Marketing operations for clients with a more ‘corporate’ slant or more B2B focus. We’ve had the pleasure of working on world‑leading brands such as TCS, Samsung Business, Lloyds Banking, Intel Gaming, Mastercard, EY, and many more. Whilst our work does cover both B2B and B2C elements, corporate and B2B brands have their own unique set of challenges and objectives. We are here to prove that influencer marketing sits at the heart of their solutions, and we need a visionary leader to help us drive this narrative forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key leader within the team, overseeing incoming project requests and live campaign work to ensure excellence in delivery.
  • Work closely with the Business Director to effectively manage resource and capacity within the team, ensuring projects have the appropriate team attached and are running efficiently.
  • Mentor, delegate to, and elevate junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
  • Bring a true commercial mindset, with a keen eye on scoping out projects, tracking profitability, and understanding the costs attached to running our products and campaign types.
  • Actively contribute to and develop tailored Influencer strategies for our B2B and corporate clients: recommend objectives, targets, action plans, influencer selection, content calendars, and budgets.
  • Support additional agency growth projects as required, including leading/supporting new business pitches, market reviews, and competitive trend analysis.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain, build, and nurture successful client relationships, successfully selling in creative ideas and content streams in quick‑turnaround and high‑pressure situations.
  • Present creative ideas and sell content solutions confidently to internal stakeholders, as well as new and existing clients.
  • Align and collaborate seamlessly with media, PR, social, brand activation, digital, and all other internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, best‑in‑class campaigns.

Campaign Execution & Production

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end execution of complex, multi‑layered influencer campaigns, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met to the highest agency standard.
  • Liaise with production teams and talent managers to oversee content creation, from social‑first assets to large‑scale production shoots.

Advocacy & Thought Leadership

  • Assist in the development of and participation in promoting our Business Influencer offering across the wider Ogilvy network and industry—we are proud of what we do and want everyone to know about it!
  • Stay up‑to‑date with cultural/social trends, B2B audience behaviours, and emerging industry technology to keep our clients ahead of the curve.

Desired Skills and Experiences

  • Diverse Professional Background: While influencer experience is key, we highly value candidates with a background in Corporate PR, Sales, or B2B Account Management, as this provides a deep understanding of corporate reputation, stakeholder management, and the B2B sales funnel.
  • Production Savvy: Solid knowledge of the content production process (including licensing, usage rights, and shoot logistics) with a proven track record of managing end‑to‑end campaigns from concept to post‑campaign reporting.
  • Relationship Builder: Demonstrated experience in building productive, trusting relationships with both corporate clients and professional influencers/thought leaders.
  • Integrated Campaign Knowledge: Proven experience of integrating digital and social media into wider marketing and PR campaign activities.
  • Platform Expertise: A deep understanding of the social media landscape, with a strong, specialized knowledge of the LinkedIn platform and its algorithm, ad formats, and organic best practices.

Role Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, or a highly related marketing field (experience in both B2B and B2C is applicable, but a passion for B2B is essential).
  • B2B Mindset: A strong understanding of the developing opportunity of influencer marketing for corporate and B2B brands, recognizing how it differs from B2C, and how to navigate the unique challenges corporate brands face.
  • Creative & Innovative: An innovative, creative approach to utilizing influence, with a true belief in the power of thought‑leadership and B2B influence.
  • Resilience & Attitude: Self‑motivated, action‑oriented, and ambitious with a positive "can‑do" attitude. The ability to remain optimistic, calm, and strategic under pressure.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A true team player with the ability to work collaboratively, delegate effectively, and champion the success of others.
