About the Role

Join our dynamic Commercial Finance team and play a pivotal role in driving growth across our exciting portfolio of businesses (PR, Advertising, G&I, and Experience). As a Commercial Accountant, you will be more than just a numbers person; you will be a strategic partner, working closely with client leads to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and ensure best commercial practice is at the heart of everything we do. This is a 12 month Fixed term Contract and a fantastic opportunity to develop your commercial acumen, work with a diverse range of clients, and make a real impact on the success of our UK unit. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values innovation and strives for excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Client Leads: Build strong relationships and work collaboratively to understand their business, identify revenue growth opportunities, and drive margin improvement.
  • Drive Revenue Reporting & Forecasting: Take ownership of revenue reporting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Champion Margin Improvement: Develop and implement margin improvement plans, monitoring progress and advising on best practices.
  • Manage Jobs & NWC: Work closely with the Commercial WIP Managers to ensure all jobs are opened, maintained and closed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with ICFR regulations in relevant areas, particularly in relation to revenue recognition.
  • Be a Commercial Champion: Promote best commercial practice across the agency, assisting and training others to do the same.
  • Client Reporting: Prepare client reconciliations which are accurate and timely and assist in any client audits.
  • Client Profitability: Track jobs and proactively challenge your client teams on overruns.

What You’ll Need

  • Part-qualified or studying towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • A strong commercial focus and a passion for driving change.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience of working in the Media industry is preferable but not mandatory.
