About the Role
An Account Executive provides the solid and essential foundations of the team. Keeping projects on track, fostering enduring and robust relationships with junior clients and internal agency team to make sure every detail is considered from briefing to final execution â youâre the glue that holds the internal team together.
The 'go to person' for both Client and Agency when it comes to coâordination, and a master of the little things that make all the difference. Youâll need to be switched on, full of energy, keen to learn and obsessed with great work.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join one of our Top 10 accounts. Samsung is a high performing team, where everyone plays to their strengths delivering awardâwinning campaigns. We have developed strong client relationships which spans over 7 years working with their UK B2B, European B2B and European B2C teams on projects that spans Strategy, Creative, Social & Influencer, Product Launch Marketing, CRM, Events and Measurement.
There is a need for the person who will provide support for the AM & AD on projects from start to finish, with a meticulous eye for detail. Other responsibilities include building strong client relationships, taking responsibility for project setâup, managing and delivering projects, with oversight of the AM & AD.
The role sits within our Ogilvy One experience practice and requires collaboration with the wider Ogilvy capabilities in Advertising, PR and Influence, and Consulting.
What Youâll Do
- Be the client and competitor expert â become the fountain of all knowledge on client mandatories and regulations, be on the lookout for information, articles and new work relating to the clients, the category or the competition.
- Be the goâto for Junior clients â helping to maintain and strengthen relationships at that level.
- Be opinionated about the creative â bring your own unique perspective on work to creative reviews, share creative you think is good/interesting with the team, offer ideas on how to work more effectively.
- Be commercial â Work closely with finance team to ensure all dayâtoâday account and project finance is managed smoothly.
- Be the main support for your team â be organised and proactive in thinking about how you can assist internal teams and clients to keep everything running smoothly and to set the right conditions for great work to thrive.
- Be organised â Ensure guard books, client server files and brand guidelines are kept up to date; own client status meetings and reports â ensuring actions are met; attend meetings and capture notes and clear next steps; support on prepping creative presentations and sense check work with meticulous attention to detail.
- Be collaborative â develop great working relationships with all teams internally; support delivery by managing internal reviews & approvals, setting up projects and defining small scopes.
- Be curious â get to know the craft of advertising, actively read industry press to develop your own sense of what good looks like, ask questions and actively seek out new learning opportunities.
- Be an Operational Steward: As the teamâs operational linchpin, you drive daily operations, uphold processes, and maintain alignment for smooth project execution. You partner with the Project Director to develop scopes, fees, timings, and resource allocation, expertly setting up projects on platforms (e.g., Wrike, Workday), orchestrating kickâoffs, and aligning internal stakeholders.
