About Ogilvy

Ogilvy, part of WPP, was founded in 1948 by David Ogilvy. David created a culture that deeply respects and cares about its people and clients. Our mission is to inspire people and brands to make an impact and we are committed to attracting, growing, and retaining the best talent in the industry. Ogilvy Health UK is made up of healthcare communication specialists across the disciplines of medical education and communications; brain sciences; brand promotion; digital and social; strategic planning; public relations; and creative/design. We believe we are like no other: we blaze new trails; we encourage a culture of creativity and innovation; we challenge, and we change; and we recognise and reward our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Director to join our dynamic team in Ogilvy Health UK, spearheading a large, global client account within our Healthcare advertising space. We are seeking a strategic leader with proven expertise in global promotional product launches and someone who is passionate about bringing life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.

In this pivotal role, you will enjoy significant autonomy over your assigned brand, empowering you to shape strategic direction and serve as an indispensable consultant to your client. You'll be integrated into a robust and well-resourced team, including a dedicated Client Partner, Senior Account Director, Lead Project Manager, and junior support, ensuring you have the right people around you to achieve outstanding results.

What you can look forward to:

  • Pioneering Patient Education: You’ll be instrumental in developing a pioneering patient education experience designed to help young children (aged 2-10) understand the complex therapy areas that impact their lives. This is a chance to make a profound, tangible difference for families.
  • Global Engagement: For those who thrive on international collaboration and exploration, upcoming congresses in locations like Canada and France offer exciting opportunities to expand your global network and experience firsthand the worldwide impact of your work.

What You'll Bring:

  • Global Pharma Launch Expertise: Demonstrable experience in a healthcare communications agency and, critically, leading global Rx product launches.
  • Strategic Acumen: A deep understanding of the evolving challenges and opportunities within healthcare communications, allowing you to establish and maintain a role as a valued consultant to clients from both a strategic and operational perspective.
  • Leadership & Empathy: You operate with empathy, inspire and coach your account team, fostering growth and ensuring outstanding delivery. You're a strong communicator, able to influence client and team decisions.
  • Commercial Prowess: Commercially astute, you excel at developing estimates, managing billing timelines, and ensuring client invoicing is handled according to schedule.

Benefits & Culture

At Ogilvy Health, you'll be part of a non-hierarchical, eclectic team united by a shared commitment to doing the best work of our lives. Beyond client work, you'll have opportunities to engage with our vibrant culture and social teams, and contribute to our fantastic DEI initiatives, championing diversity across our agency and industry.

We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:

  • 25 days annual leave, with the option to purchase up to an extra 5 days per year, plus your birthday off and a paid volunteering day.
  • Generous enhanced parental leave policies.
  • A robust pension scheme (up to 17.5% total contributions after probation).
  • Choice of Private Medical Cover (Bupa from day one), Dental cover, or a monthly £45 leisure allowance for your health & wellbeing.
  • A fantastic Employee Assistance Programme (Telus) offering support, advice, and specialist counselling.
  • Help at Hand: quick, free access to a remote GP, mental health support, physio, or a medical second opinion.
  • Free 1-2-1 Coaching through Thrive Partners for professional or personal growth.
  • A comprehensive Learning & Development programme to support your career trajectory.
