Due to the on-going success of our developments in Aberdeen, we have an opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The Role
- Joining the team of Contract Surveyors, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of projects and identifying opportunities for increasing profit margins.
- To undertake the day to day commercial/surveying activities of allocated projects.
- Continuous liaison with the Project Manager to ensure understanding of commercial matters relating to the project and support successful operational delivery.
- Development of project cost plans and working closely with the design team and operational colleagues through the pre-construction process.
- Procurement of subcontract work packages, issuing detailed tender reports in advance of subcontractor appointments.
- Measuring and valuing works carried out on site.
- Formulation of monthly valuations, commercial reporting, the identification and valuation of variations and the control of expenditure.
- Recognise H&S, risk and margin when carrying out all works.
- Ensure adherence to sub-contracts and assist with sub-contractor payments.
About You
- Have an honours degree in Quantity Surveying?
- Have at least 5 years Construction experience in a Contracting Quantity Surveying role? *Preferred*
- Are you experienced with Microsoft Excel and Word?
- Able to work independently and manage own workload but also work effectively as part of a team?
