Our latest opportunity is for a Client Accounting Services Manager to join our London office and be part of our growing Accounting services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of London-based accountants, reporting to the centralised accounting team in the Channel Islands, to meet diverse client accounting needs across UK and Channel Islands service lines, including Real Estate, Private Wealth, and Corporate Services.
  • Review financial statements and line management duties, with a focus on Real Estate clients and Ogier's VAT service line.
  • Develop the London-based accountants and wider team through recruitment, training, and sharing technical knowledge.
  • Meet regularly with in-house teams to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and client KPIs.
  • Review financial statements, management accounts, and bookkeeping for various client types.
  • Attend client meetings to provide technical accounting support.
  • Participate in projects and senior-level team decisions.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining client-specific accounting procedures and templates.
  • Liaise with tax advisors, ensure UK tax compliance, and support the UK team with VAT services.
  • Coordinate with external auditors.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • We seek a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS, or other recognized qualification) with post-qualification experience and knowledge of the local finance industry, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • The candidate should have excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting standards, and a solid understanding of audit approaches.
  • Experience with VAT return preparation and submissions, as well as real estate accounting, is required.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting for corporate, real estate, and private wealth clients, along with familiarity with UK tax reporting, is essential.
  • Experience with Caseware is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • As a people manager, you should have a structured approach to planning, prioritization, and workload management.
  • You must be self-motivated, analytical, client-focused, and possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
