We are seeking a talented Client Accountant to join our expanding Accounting Services team in Jersey, where you will be responsible for the day to day accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of Ogier Global clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors across a portfolio of clients while developing strong working relationships with clients and internal service lines.
  • Review bookkeeping input and prepare annual financial statements and management accounts.
  • Manage the day to day integrity of client ledgers and reviewing bookkeeper input.
  • Prepare routine month end and quarter end management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
  • Prepare annual financial statements.
  • Act as the central point of contact for external auditors.
  • Prepare and review audit support schedules and documentation.
  • Track and monitor the preparation of financial information.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and service line development.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant policies, procedures, and controls.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

The successful candidate will proactively take on additional responsibilities as required and support junior team members when necessary. We are seeking an individual studying towards an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with a few years' experience, strong numeracy and analytical skills, and a proactive attitude. Experience in client accounting or accounts preparation is preferred. Knowledge of Real Estate, Private Wealth, Corporate, or Debt Capital Markets accounting environments is desirable but not essential. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required, along with excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
