We’re looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our growing team. This is a key role, ideal for a qualified accountant with strong experience supporting budget holders, managing departmental finances and driving cost control. If you’re confident working with business leaders, digging into the numbers, and challenging spend where it matters – we’d love to hear from you.
About you…
You’re a commercially-minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with teams across a business, helping them understand their numbers, manage their budgets and make better decisions. We’re growing quickly, and things move fast, so we’re looking for someone qualified (ACA or ACCA), with solid post-qualification experience, excellent Excel skills and ideally some exposure to Business Central or similar systems. You’ll be regularly engaging with department leads to support their budgeting and forecasting, analyse trends, and ensure financial plans remain on track. You’ll also support planning and investment conversations where communication is key, so you’ll need to be just as comfortable explaining the story behind the numbers as you are at managing cost.
We’re also looking for someone who’s:
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing decision makers
- Analytical and detail-focused, with a strong grasp of cost management
- Confident in presenting and explaining finance to non-finance colleagues
- Proactive, organised and solutions-focused
- Ambitious – excited to take ownership and make a real impact in a growing business
What you’ll be doing…
This is a hands-on finance role, sitting at the heart of a fast-paced business. You’ll take ownership of business partnering across several departments – helping budget holders manage performance, understand variances, and plan for the future. You’ll deliver timely month-end departmental results and budgets, coaching budget holders to understand their numbers, identifying overspend, and digging into what’s driving results.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing trend analysis and recommendations to support cost control and drive efficiency
- Supporting the delivery of accurate monthly reporting and commentary for department heads
- Coaching and challenging budget holders to ensure robust financial ownership
- Leading on internal and external requirements gathering, including KPIs and wider project inputs
- Developing pricing and costing models aligned to EBITDA targets and customer value
- Reviewing systems and processes to embed FP&A requirements across business activity
- Working closely with the Head of FP&A, Financial Controller and CFO to mature financial planning from a ‘start-up’ base
- Supporting project investment appraisals and feeding into our long-term financial plan
- Collaborating with senior leaders and investors on financial insights and strategic planning
You’ll help turn financial data into meaningful action, ensuring we stay on track, spot challenges early, and make every pound count.
