The Role
- Ensure the performance of structural steel fabrication and erection following Foreman instructions and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel fabrication and erection activities in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Follow daily instructions given by Foreman.
- Ensure structural steel fabrication and erection is carried out according to approved fabrication, erection and assembly drawings.
- Verify that equipment, tools, and materials are in good and safe operating conditions and report any anomalies to Foreman.
- Ensure coordination with adjacent works to minimize coactivity and avoid unsafe conditions.
- Follow the permit-to-work statement.
- Maintain the housekeeping of the work location.
What Weβre Looking For
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the position.
- Experience with welding applications for 3-5 years and above.
- Knowledge of Manual SMAW/FCAW welding processes.
- Knowledge of cutting and trimming applications (cold and hot cutting).
- Knowledge of oxyacetylene and plasma cutting applications.
- Knowledge of milling, turning, and lathe machine applications.
- Knowledge of drilling applications.
- Work experience with isometric drawings, bevel designs, fittings, torquering, steel fabrication and erection, lifting and rigging operations, installation and assembly.
- Experience with materials such as carbon steel flowline, clad, Inconel 625/825, stainless steel 314L, 316L.
- Proven experience on pipeline scope offshore and onshore.
- Experience in heavy fabrication yards, refineries, power plants, shipyards, offshore jacket installation, wind farm installation, deck, conductors, piling, boat landing installation.
