The Role
The Offshore Rigger carries out rigging activities in line with instructions given by the Deck Foreman or Rigging Foreman and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs rigging works in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Constructs scaffolding structures if certified, following supervisor instructions.
- Drives the forklift if certified.
- Follows daily instructions from the Deck Foreman or Rigging Foreman.
- Ensures rigging works adhere to applicable standards and best practices.
- Verifies equipment and materials are in good condition and reports anomalies.
- Coordinates with adjacent works to minimize coactivity and ensure safety.
- Follows the Permit-to-Work procedure.
- Maintains housekeeping at the work location.
- Assists the marine department during mooring operations as required.
- Reports to the Rigging Foreman or Deck Foreman.
